Meatloaf night

Since Jason and I are getting a little tired of eating out all the time, we decided to cook more at home.

The recipe for tonight’s dinner was meatloaf. There’s just too many recipes for meatloaf out there so I decided to go with a simple one. It’s very, very simple.

Just take ground beef, onions, green onions, bread crumbs, egg, milk and seasoning and mix them all together. Then just place that into a pan (or in my case, shape it into a rectangular lump and then place it onto a baking tray.)

Bake it in the oven at 350 degrees C for about an hour or so. Afterwards, take it out of the oven and let it set for about 5 minutes. Here’s how mines came out….

Yea, it doesn’t look that good and it looks burnt but it really isn’t that bad! I blame it on not having a real pan….and that’s why my lump of meatloaf came out looking like burnt carcass. At least it wasn’t overcooked and dry!

Here’s how it looks after I cut off 2 slices and added rice.

Next time, I’m going to try a more complex and sophisticated recipe…..maybe it’ll look better. This recipe wasn’t too bad though. Jason and I both think that it tastes pretty good….
